Most of the time our inner voice tries to guide us to ‘Truth’ but we, out of our own vested interests, wish to continue living in our own self-created illusions because it suits our purpose or fulfils our needs.

About This Quote

When we ask ourselves if we truly want to know the truth, we discover that we don’t. We think we do, but the truth would hurt and disturb us and we would rather accept our illusions and continue living in them. We, as human beings, are extremely intelligent and creative beings. We create our own realities and our inner voice tries to guide us to “Truth” because it is in our nature to do so. It is for this reason that we always think that we know the “Truth” but then when we try to take those first few steps into the unknown, we quickly discover that “the Truth” is very different from what we previously thought was true.
